You have to keep an eye out for the sales. Target has really great sales. I have recently bought my youngest (2) a pair of shorts for 75 cents and a shirt for 2 dollars. It is hit or miss but if you look once a week you are going to find a great bargain.

Depending on where you live…you may have places like “Once Upon A Child” and other gently-used clothing stores. I shop there regularly not because I need to financially but because it makes sense. The clothes are in great shape since babies and kids outgrow them so fast (they don’t accept otherwise) and the gear and strollers etc…are in great shape too. And there are always high end name brands if that is something you’re interested in.
Often, shopping online is the best deal too. Not only do you get to comparison shop but you can use online coupons too. EBay can be fun to browse through as well.

I don’t know about baby gear but if you’re pregnant, JC Penny’s maternity section has everything 50% off. It has been for about a month and a half now.

Not sure where you live, but in VA, we have a great children’s consignment shop called “Once upon a Child”. Clothes are great and at a really decent price!!
