its much better to wash them to get rid of any chemical smells using softener will make them lovely and soft for baby.

i def would wash all bedding and a few clothes not all because if she doesn’t wear them you cant take them back if they don’t have tags and are washed Def wash all socks onesies and PJ’s because they are going to get used and at first you are not going to want to wash clothes everyday. I say yes because my mother did wash all the clothes and bedding for me before my daughter was born and my daughter has sensitive skin and twice i have put on clothes that i did not wash at first and she broke out with a rash. Plus you hear abut all those skin bacteria and don’t know who touched the item prior to you receiving it Someone could have been sick sneezed all over their hand then touched the outfit So it wouldn’t hurt Maybe have your mother come over or a friend sister somebody and have them help you before you have the precious angel

Yes when clothes are packaged all sorts of chemicals are used on them to prevent them going bad while in storage in the warehouses, your baby could have a nasty skin reaction to something on the fabric, plus if you use a good fabric softener it will soften up the clothes and make it gentler on babys skin.
I use Surcare fabric softener and washing powder, it’s especially for babies and sensitive skin.

yes! dont use tide or anything with perfumes, but i really wouldnt spend so much on dreft ( i did with #1) now im getting ready for #2 i just use any detergent thats free and clear…you can also get free and clear softerner =) good luck

yes. i would suggest using Dreft or Baby All as a detergent. these are more sensitive to a newborns skin. everything should be washed.

i washed every baby thing i got just to make it soft, because some of the sheets that came out of the packages felt like card broad.

Yip and toys if you going to let baby wear it, touch it eat it…. trust me they eat everything….. then it needs to be washed.

I wouldn’t think they have to be, I never wash new clothes before me or my daughter wear them but if it makes you feel better then there’s no harm in it :-)

i would wash everything you buy in a sensitive skin detergent wash
